Job summary

Omnicom Global Solutions (OGS) is seeking a Financial Analyst with strong accounting and analytical skills to support business finance teams. The role involves close collaboration with Global Agency Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of FP&A experience, solid Excel skills, and knowledge of US GAAP. A hybrid work model and cross-functional exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or PG in accounting/finance with 3–5 years FP&A experience.
• R2R experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Advanced Excel and quick learner of ERP/BI tools.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Flexible, independent, and good written/oral communication.
• Experience with Dynamics AX, MediaOcean, and Hyperion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance in creating financial templates for P&L standardization.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and US GAAP reporting for the agency.
• Understand client contracts and their impact on revenue, costs, and compliance.
• Assist in annual budgeting and revised forecasts with data analysis.
• Provide process improvement opportunities and support for new initiatives.
• Maintain and analyze P&Ls with business partners; manage month-end close activities.

Role Overview

OGS India is seeking a Financial Analyst with strong accounting and analytical skills to help support the business finance teams that continues to deliver strong financial performance. Responsibilities

• Support the Finance team in creating financial templates as a part of overall P&L standardization efforts.
• You will prepare monthly financial statements and subsequent reporting to Omnicom following US GAAP for your agency, combining strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles, cost controlling procedures and balance sheet presentation.
• You will gain a deep understanding of all client contracts relevant to your agency, as well as their impact on all revenue, cost and compliance related maters important to your internal control function within the Finance team
• You will be involved in the creation of the annual budget as well as of revised annual forecasts by collecting, processing and analyzing various sorts of information points with regard to revenue and costs by providing accurate and well-analyzed financial information, you will enable your Reporting team leads, Finance Business Partners as well as Agency Management to make successful and efficient decision making.
• Provide support as new processes are coordinated and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Cost Analysis, Head count analysis etc.
• Maintain business teams’ P&Ls; collaborate closely with business partners in managing the financials of the account, flagging variances and out-of-ordinary transactions
• Manage month-end close activities for certain areas including recording JEs and accruals
• Perform a variety of financial analyses to determine financial health compared to Budget as directed by the Finance Manager.
• Assist in regular FP&A consolidation activities including but not limited to template creation and commentary collection
• Act as finance support for various operational initiatives, new tool implementations, global policy rollouts, etc.
• Assist in other finance activities such as timesheet reporting, invoice/PO creation, billing queries and data entry.
• Build trusted relationships with department heads and key business partners to assist in analyzing and tracking scopes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of experience in FP&A Operations (mandatory).
• Having prior experience into R2R processes is (Preferred).
• Proficient in Advanced Excel and ability to quickly learn any new ERP or BI Tools
• Having Good Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Flexibility to take up different assignments and not limit oneself to specific set of activities.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
• Flexible and Result Oriented with Strong Written & Oral Communication Skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX, MediaOcean, and Hyperion Financial Management tool is a plus.
