Job summary

Accenture in India is seeking a Financial Plan & Analysis Senior Manager to lead a 50-60 FTE FP&A team, delivering region and country level reports, budgets and forecasts.

You will partner with business units, drive data governance, and mentor staff while maintaining high service levels and cross-functional collaboration. A strong FP&A background and Oracle expertise are required, with preference for logistics/freight experience.

What would you do?

The primary responsibility is to lead a FP&A team of 50-60 FTE engaged in

  • Preparation of standard & Adhoc management reports for region, country, product & service Delivers ad hoc analyses. Supports Annual Operating Plan, budgets & forecasts
  • Planning, Creating and managing reporting data and report out from various database systems. Provide professional expertise and direction to other team members and act as the focal point for business units and Technology by participating in key project initiatives. Also, as required, manage client communication, responding to queries, investigate irregularities and anomalies and provide technical support for day-to-day issues
  • Partners with reporting clients to understand their strategic goals, operational context and activities in order to explain results with strategic business insights and fact Use a diverse range of applications and understand the business and technical functionality of each application and its relevance to the business community.
  • Provide support to all business units across the region, including product understanding, validation, problem/query resolution and coordination of communications.
  • Uses storytelling principles to convey impactful messages

Major accountability for Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Reporting, Variance Analysis across Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash flow, Systems Support & data Governance. Ensure timely & accurate reporting for SG&A, Working Capital, Cost of Sales and other management reports.

This role requires leading, coaching, mentoring the team, putting operational controls, supporting audit requirements, managing senior client stakeholders, liaise with other functions, ensure service level are achieved and change is coordinated. In addition, the candidate must have managed /led global FP&A process for multinational client. A strong working knowledge of FP&A function is a must. Cross team relationships are also critical to delivery information services including productivity and costing. This role is expected to ensure:

  • Services maintained in line with Service expectations agreed with the business.
What are we looking for?

Education: CA/ MBA/CFA/CMA preferred with high degree of proficiency in usage of Oracle ) . Experience in managing Global FP&A engagement is a must

Experience: Strong FP&A experience required in Logistics & Freight industry -FP&A Experience to include planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis of revenue, working capital, gross margin & SG&A, pricing, and predictive reporting -Experience in database development and report creation (preferred). -Experience within the FP&A delivery environment with a working knowledge of FP&A delivery systems and processes -Understanding of financial reporting / management reporting and business intelligence. Management Accounting and Reporting -Delivery of various reporting containing Financial and Management Information sourced from multiple systems / platforms

Working Conditions
  • Willing to work across different shift hours considering it will involve managing global operations - daylight work hours
  • May have to travel abroad where required for work
  • Close interaction with customer over phone and email.

  • Establish / Review SLA-s on all customer support. Work with other teams to ensuring end to end change management both upstream and downstream. Employ project management disciplines in the change management process Build/enhance quality control processes to maximize the efficiency of process and identifying/actioning data issues Measure, monitor and report performance levels and improvement planning
  • Completes varied complex/non-standard tasks in area of responsibility.
  • Makes variety of decisions, some complex in nature, predominantly affecting own area of responsibility.
  • Required to identify, assess and resolve complex issues/problems within own area of responsibility.
  • Operates largely independently within set guidelines, but managerial guidance available if sought.
  • End results are generally defined but interpretive judgment is required to meet these.
  • Works to clearly defined budgetary parameters and targets.

  • PROCESSES People ? Lead, coach, guide, mentor the team both in domain & otherwise to achieve best in class performance
  • ? Pro-active identification of risks, putting in controls & highlight / participate in all internal client forums as Delivery leadership team.
  • ? Development, Objectives and Performance management of the team and individuals in line with policy and performance framework.
  • ? Ensure one on one feedback is given to all team members.
  • ? Reduction of single points of failure and dependency on key individuals.
  • ? Establish action plans in relation to Staff Satisfaction feedback.
  • Operations ? Ensure a robust environment which supports agreed customer service levels. Extensive use of Financial and Management applications which support financial and Management Information analysis.
  • ? Build the capabilities of the team to grow the level of competency across technical and business environments in line with strategic information delivery direction
  • ? Work with Engagement Partners to align information delivery approach and service levels with business priorities and direction, maximizing the relevance and value of the information service to the achievement of business objectives
  • ? In co-operation with other units, ensure processes are in place to assist and educate customers and other teams in understanding outputs of applications/models under the control of the area
  • ? Embrace a team-based leadership style, building trust and co-operation within the team and across other teams within Finance and the business
  • ? Embed common, simplified and documented processes within the team and across all processes to reduce training times, single points of failure together with improving efficiency and satisfying compliance requirements eg. SOX.
  • ? Manage vendor relationships to ensure service levels are maximized and the application platform is developed/refreshed in line with service level needs. This needs to be undertaken in the context of the overall business information architecture.
  • ? Plan and manage budgets within area.
