Job summary

PSA BDP, a leader in global logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking a Financial Operations Senior Analyst in Bengaluru.

You will perform end-to-end finance activities across OTC, RTR, and PTP processes, support month-end close, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, 10–12 years of experience, and strong ERP and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Mathematics.
• 10–12 years of progressive OTC, PTP, RTR financial operations experience.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms (such as Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Processing - End-to-end finance activities: AP and AR.
• Record-to-Report (R2R) - General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounting.
• Month-End Activities - Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support closes.
• Quality & Compliance - Ensure policies, standards, audits, and documentation.
• SME - Act as process expert, guide analysts, resolve complex issues.
• Reporting & Analysis - Produce operational and financial reports, identify trends.
• Stakeholder Support - Respond to queries from internal customers and vendors.
• Process Improvement - Identify efficiency opportunities, automation, standardization.
• Training & Knowledge Sharing - Onboard and train new staff, share SOPs.

Job Description:

• Transaction Processing - Perform end-to-end finance activities in assigned processes: Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR)


• Record-to-Report (R2R) - General Ledger (GL). Fixed Assets. Intercompany Accounting. Process complex and high-value transactions accurately and on time.


• Month-End Activities - Prepare and post journal entries. Perform account reconciliations. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.


• Quality & Compliance - Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails. Support internal and external audits.


• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) - Serve as the process expert for assigned activities. Assist Team Leads in resolving complex operational issues. Provide guidance to Analysts and new team members.


• Reporting & Analysis - Prepare operational and financial reports. Analyze data trends and identify anomalies. Support KPI and SLA reporting.


• Stakeholder Support - Interact with internal customers, vendors, and business units. Respond to queries and resolve issues promptly. Participate in review meetings when required.


• Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Participate in automation and standardization initiatives. Suggest best practices to improve service delivery.


• Training & Knowledge Sharing - Support onboarding and training of new employees. Prepare process documentation and SOPs. Share process updates and lessons learned.

Experience and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Mathematics.


• Experience: 10 - 12 years of progressive OTC, PTP, RTR financial operations experience.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP platforms (such as Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.


• Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial compliance, and OTC, RTR or P2P cycle best practices.


• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stakeholder communication abilities.
