Financial Data Analyst Associate
We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst Associate to support our Finance and Operations team. You will assist in tracking day-to-day financials, maintaining project-level P&L records, and using AI-enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency, data validation, and financial insights. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow), budgets, forecasts, and variance reports with actionable recommendations.
- Build financial models and perform trend analysis using large datasets and data visualizations.
- Track project-level P&L, revenue, deliverables, and payment status for client engagements.
Data Management & Operations
- Maintain accurate financial records, perform account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
- Clean, organize financial data across systems; update SME/instructor database with payment records and contracts.
- Handle daily transactions including invoicing, payments, expense management, and cash flow monitoring.
GST & ITR Compliance
- Manage GST filing and related compliances, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Oversee the filing of ITR and related tax documentation in compliance with government regulations.
Payroll Management & Bookkeeping
- Handle payroll management including employee salary, benefits, and deductions.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, maintaining records for all financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile and manage accounts to ensure all financial obligations are met.
Invoice Management & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the complete invoice management process, ensuring all invoices are prepared, approved, and processed on time.
- Support and manage the end-to-end invoicing process for both clients and vendors.
Project & Cross-Functional Support
- Coordinate with sales, content, operations teams for timely financial data flow.
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and client/SME queries on billing and payments.
- Prepare MIS dashboards, Excel reports, tax documents, and audit materials.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- 35 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or operations support
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Core Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling abilities.
- Data visualization expertise and SQL/Python familiarity (preferred).
- AI proficiency, including effective use of tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or similar platforms to support financial analysis, reporting automation, data validation, and insight generation.
- Excellent communication to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience with CRM tools or ERP / accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Candidate should know how to use AI tools to improve productivity while keeping company financial data secure, verifying the correctness of AI-generated information, and ensuring that all reports remain accurate and compliant.
