Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Finance Controller for an advisory firm based in Gurgaon. The role leads end-to-end controllership including accounting, reporting, compliance, and governance, partnering with leadership on budgeting and performance tracking.

The ideal candidate is a qualified CA with 5–7 years post‑qualification experience, strong analytics, and experience in audits, controls, and finance transformation in a consulting or service-based environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA (or equivalent) with 5–7 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience across financial reporting, accounting, controllership, compliance and audit management.
• Exposure to consulting environments and/or service-based businesses preferred.
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls, taxation and audit processes.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated professional with attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end finance controllership, including accounting, reporting, compliance and governance.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive statutory, internal and tax audits while strengthening internal controls and risk management.
• Partner with CFO and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and performance tracking.
• Deliver business insights through variance analysis, financial modeling and cost optimization.
• Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities across finance operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and business growth.
