Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead the finance function of a manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong expertise in financial control, balance sheet analysis, costing, manufacturing finance, audit management, budgeting, and compliance. The role requires driving financial performance, ensuring robust internal controls, and supporting business decisions through detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Oversee the overall finance and accounting operations of the manufacturing unit.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Review and analyze Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Monitor working capital, inventory valuation, and fixed asset accounting.

Balance Sheet Analysis

• Conduct detailed review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Identify financial risks, unusual trends, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Ensure accuracy of provisions, accruals, reserves, and intercompany transactions.
• Drive balance sheet hygiene and timely closure of open items.

Costing & Manufacturing Finance

• Lead product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis processes.
• Analyze production costs, inventory, wastage, and operational efficiencies.
• Partner with operations to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Monitor BOM (Bill of Materials), inventory valuation, and manufacturing KPIs.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
• 10-15+ years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Finance.
• Strong experience in Balance Sheet Analysis, Financial Control, Costing, and Audit.
• Expertise in inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
