Job summary

Discover Dollar is seeking a Financial Analyst in India to audit reports, reconcile vendor statements with AP data, and analyze invoices and agreements. The role targets freshers to 1 year of experience and focuses on identifying revenue recovery opportunities through data-driven analysis.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in finance (preferably M.Com) and are proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and basic SQL.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AP/AR data, data interpretation, and processing.
• Understanding of Procure to Pay and accounting principles.
• Ability to identify variances in procurement and payments to recover revenue.

Responsibilities

• Audit standard reports to detect duplicate or overpayments.
• Reconcile vendor statements with AP data to spot unprocessed invoices.
• Analyze agreements, invoices, and POs to identify missed opportunities.
• Use audit tools and gain proficiency in internal and client systems.
• Identify and develop new claim opportunities across clients.
• Support knowledge transfer sessions and new initiatives.

Job Description:

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

• Audit standard reports to identify duplicate, overpayments, and underpayments for the client.
• Reconcile vendor statements with the client's Accounts Payable data to identify unprocessed invoices in the client's system.
• Analyze agreements, invoices, purchase orders, and other supporting documents to identify missed opportunities and suggest process improvements.
• Use audit tools effectively and demonstrate increasing proficiency with both internal and client systems and applications.
• Identify and develop new claim opportunities across different clients.
• Contribute to new initiatives and actively participate in knowledge transfer (KT) sessions organized within the company.

Must have skills:

• Good knowledge of accounts payable & receivable data, data interpretation/data processing.
• Good understanding of Procure to Pay Process & Accounting Principles
• Should be able to identify variances or errors in the procurement and payment processes to recover revenue

Good to have skills:

• Good proficiency in basic computer applications and other tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint is desirable, familiarity with data management tools/Query (SQL) will be helpful
• Should have the ability to analyze and interpret data: A rational and logical thinker, and should pay attention to details
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently & should have the capability to work with deadlines
