You will drive month-end closes, collaborate with overhead partners, support audits, and lead annual planning while ensuring internal controls are followed and improvements are implemented.

Qualifications

It is a major distributor of Scotch whisky and other spirits. Distilleries owned by Client produce 40% of all Scotch whisky with over 24 brands.

About The Job:

• Takes full responsibility for the day-to-day management of Overhead related activities with adherence to the internal control procedures.
• Works closely with Overhead Business Partners and other stakeholders to understand overheads and issues, ensure the financial implications of these are captured correctly in the financial and statutory statements.
• Drive value-add analysis, understanding movements in overheads, root cause of issues/business reasons behind variances and accurate presentation of requested materials.
• Lead AOP activities.
• Ensures that queries from stakeholders are dealt promptly and accurately.
• Ensures smooth and accurate month end closes and maximize benefits of globalized system processes.
• Lead the continuous improvement agenda of Overhead processes.
• Ensures that Overhead policies and procedures are understood and followed.
• Supports the internal and external audits.

Essential Job Functions:

• Own allocated overhead monthly accounting/reporting/causals/analysis and support other team members in their priorities.
• Actively work/collaborate with Overhead Business Partner and other stakeholders with a focus on accuracy.
• Lead the annual planning exercise.
• Ensure and address issues to the right outcomes.
• Ensures that financial processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with the internal (CARM) and external requirements.

Qualifications:

• Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting / business.
• Qualified accountant preferred.

• Experience working within an international / multicultural environment.
• Fluent English knowledge.
