Job summary

UBS in Pune is seeking a Finance professional to strengthen cost control and reporting. You will analyze financial data, validate inputs with stakeholders, and drive a strong control environment across the global organization.

The role focuses on R2R activities, reconciliations, and collaboration with Tax teams, delivering high-quality financial reporting and process improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in R2R, financial accounting or controlling.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost-related accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
• Partner with business managers to understand and validate financial inputs and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Tax teams on tax recovery and refund accounting entries.
• Respond to business queries, investigate issues, and provide effective solutions.
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet analysis, including commentary on key movements and trends.
• Perform reconciliations, resolve outstanding action items, and support the GBSOV sign-off process.

The team

You'll be working in Group Cost Controlling (GCC), which delivers financial management and accounting services across eight Centres of Excellence (CoEs). These include technology cost management, real estate cost management, fixed assets and IGCS, accruals and MDS, regional cost management, cost allocation, SCL/CEMA, and group cost management. The team is responsible for a range of accounting and financial management activities, including accruals, reporting, cost center management, financial analysis, and support for significant group entities.

Your Skills And Experience

• bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• around 2-5 years of experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), financial accounting, controlling, or a similar finance function
• strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations
• advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in PowerPoint
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly and confidently
• ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve issues independently, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
