Job summary

FedEx Express México seeks a Finance Analyst to monitor and analyze capital work-in-progress items, driving timely capitalization and process improvements. You will act as a subject matter expert, delivering end-to-end insights and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with company standards.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to support audits and training for finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) or similar.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit support.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Monitor, analyze, and resolve open items in capital work in progress accounts to ensure timely capitalization. Act as a subject matter expert providing end‑to‑end insights and identifying trends for process optimization. Drive improvements in fixed asset accounting processes and elevate operational standards. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure compliance. Oversee BPO activities, guide process execution, and ensure alignment with company standards. Collaborate with auditors by preparing detailed documentation and audit trails for duty‑related transactions. Deliver training and documentation on best practices to finance teams. Manage financial data integrity and reporting accuracy using advanced analytics tools. Identify process gaps and propose actionable solutions to management. Lead and participate in cross‑functional initiatives to fix processes and build scalable solutions. Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong financial accounting knowledge, including accruals, reconciliations.
• Experience with financial systems/ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Workday Payroll, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and internal control procedures.

Good to have Skills

• Experience in Power BI development for financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, VBA).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Alteryx, SQL, RPA).
