Job summary

Bekaert, based in Maharashtra, India, seeks a Finance professional to lead standard costing, margin analysis, and budgeting for the assigned BU or plant. You will partner with SSC/ARC and BU teams to ensure accurate financial performance and compliance using SAP and BI tools.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Accounting/Finance, with Cost Accountant preferred, and strong SAP (CFIN/SAC) and Excel skills to drive cost-control initiatives and robust reporting.

I. Purpose of the Role

Responsible for reporting, analysis, and controlling activities for the assigned Business Unit or Plant. Acts as a key liaison between SSC/ARC Manager and BU/Plant teams to ensure accurate financial performance and compliance. Requires strong understanding of manufacturing processes and close collaboration with plant teams to drive financial efficiency.

II. Roles and Responsibilities

• Standard Costing & Margin Analysis
• Drive cost control programs and monitor performance.
• Calculate transfer prices for traded goods and spool returns; review transport fees and duties.
• Align costing practices with global standards; verify and update material master data (BOM, recipes, costing versions) in SAP.
• Update standard costs for BOM items, finished goods, and traded materials periodically and for budgeting/audit purposes. Perform monthly cost runs.
• Providing cost breakdowns to sales and marketing teams.
• Controlling Activities
• Manage working capital, receivable aging, and inventory valuation/control.
• Ensure accurate Profit Centre & Cost Centre bookings in SAP.
• Oversee CAPEX compliance, budgeting, and fixed asset control (CWIP, capitalization as per GAAP & IFRS).
• Verify credit notes for discounts and rebates.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Perform month-end closing, prepare sales and operational reports, and monitor CAPEX vs. budget.
• Review SGA expenses and adapt additional reports as required.
• Provide analysis for monthly financial reviews and ensure timely provisions for closing.
• Internal Controls & Audit
• Implement and monitor internal controls; ensure audit recommendations are actioned.
• Review SOPs for financial impact processes and promote cost control awareness.

III. Skills & Competencies

• Education: Master’s in Accounting/Finance; Cost Accountant preferred.
• Technical: Expertise in SAP (including CFIN, SAC), MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI and automation tools is an advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration. Ability to work under pressure and drive process improvements.
