Job summary

Be part of Bekaert's global finance transformation as a Process Expert in R2R. You will drive standardization, governance, and continuous improvements across end-to-end R2R, spanning multiple sub-process domains and geographies.

You will bridge global process design with operational execution, support S/4HANA/close optimization initiatives, and ensure adherence to the global blueprint while enabling sustainable improvements across R2R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5-10 years in R2R / Finance / Accounting roles.
• Experience in SSC / GBS / multinational environment.
• Exposure to process standardization or transformation initiatives.
• Lean Six Sigma, SAP / S4 exposure, and process improvement / transformation experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain global process standards, SOPs, and control frameworks across R2R.
• Design and optimize end-to-end process flows, roles, and handovers.
• Maintain and evolve the R2R process taxonomy.
• Identify and drive harmonization opportunities across sub-processes.
• Ensure consistent application of global process standards across SSCs and regions.
• Validate alignment between process, controls, policies, and systems.
• Monitor and challenge local deviations / customisations.
• Support internal/external audits and remediation tracking.
• Support cross-R2R transformation initiatives (e.g. S/4HANA, close optimization, automation).
• Define business requirements and validate process design.
• Ensure end-to-end consistency across sub-processes during transformations.
• Support adoption and anchoring in service delivery.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to interpret KPIs across R2R.
• Identify cross-process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure consistency between process design and KPI definitions.
• Support prioritization of improvement initiatives.

I. Purpose of the Role

The Process Expert R2R supports the Global Process Owner (GPO) by driving global process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end R2R process, covering multiple sub-process domains. The role ensures that process design, controls, policies, and system usage are aligned and consistently applied across geographies, while retaining flexibility to support priority areas within R2R (e.g. close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany, etc.). The Process Expert acts as a key bridge between global process design and operational execution, supporting transformation initiatives, validating adherence to the global blueprint, and ensuring sustainable process improvements across R2R.

II. Roles and Responsibilities

Global Process Design & Standardization

• Define and maintain global process standards, SOPs, and control frameworks across R2R


• Design and optimize end-to-end process flows, roles, and handovers


• Maintain and evolve the R2R process taxonomy


• Identify and drive harmonization opportunities across sub-processes

Governance, Compliance & Process Adherence

• Ensure consistent application of global process standards across SSCs and regions


• Validate alignment between process, controls, policies, and systems

Transformation & Change Enablement

• Support cross-R2R transformation initiatives (e.g. S/4HANA, close optimization, automation)


• Define business requirements and validate process design


• Ensure end-to-end consistency across sub-processes during transformations


• Support adoption and anchoring in service delivery

Process Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with Data Analysts to interpret KPIs across R2R


• Identify cross-process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities


• Ensure consistency between process design and KPI definitions

Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment

• Work closely with:


• GPO


• Service Delivery teams (India / China / local)

• Act as translator between business, operations and IT


• Drive alignment across regions and resolve cross-process issues

III. Skills & Competencies

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Experience


• 5-10 years in R2R / Finance / Accounting roles


• Experience in SSC / GBS / multinational environment

Preferred Certifications
