Job summary

Bekaert is seeking a seasoned product leader to oversee the full product portfolio from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization. You will drive strategy, roadmaps, and cross-functional execution across engineering, design, marketing, and sales in a dynamic IT/technology context.

The role requires 7-10 years in product management, a Master’s degree in a related field, and a track record of delivering market-ready products.

Purpose and Mission

• Responsible for overseeing an entire product portfolio and providing strategic direction. Manages the entire product portfolio through the product lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond. The mission is to ensure that the product meets customer needs, aligns with business objectives, and delivers maximum value to the organization.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Product Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement a product strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and market needs.

• Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

• Product Roadmap Management:

• Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the vision, strategy, and timeline for product development.

• Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business objectives.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product development and launch.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to align on product goals and deliverables.

• Product Development Oversight:

• Oversee the product development process, from ideation to release, ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget.

• Manage the product backlog and ensure that development efforts are focused on the highest priority items.

• Customer Feedback and Iteration:

• Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and iterations.

• Continuously refine and enhance the product based on user feedback and market changes.

• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor product performance using key metrics and KPIs to ensure it meets business objectives.

• Prepare and present reports on product performance, progress, and future plans to stakeholders.
