Job summary

Dognosis is hiring for a Finance & Operations role in India to manage books, compliance, and reporting. You will ensure timely statutory filings, handle vendor payments, and support monthly closes with MIS updates.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and fluent with Excel and common accounting software. Prior startup or healthcare exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must know Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and payroll compliance.
• Experience in startup or healthcare settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

What You Will Do

• Maintain the books: record daily transactions, manage payables and receivables, and reconcile bank, card, and payment accounts.
  
• Run statutory compliance end to end, including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax filings on schedule.
  
• Coordinate vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and procurement so nothing stalls for lack of paperwork.
  
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, and prepare MIS reports that leadership uses to make decisions.
  
• Keep office and administrative operations running, from vendor relationships to organized digital records.

• Monthly books close on time and reconcile cleanly, with no surprises at audit.
  
• Every statutory filing goes out before its deadline, tracked on a compliance calendar you maintain.
  
• Leadership gets clear, reliable MIS reports without having to chase you for them.
  

You Are a Good Fit If

• You have kept the books for a company or business, ideally in a startup or healthcare setting.
  
• You know Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and payroll compliance well enough to run them without hand-holding.
  
• You work fluently in Excel and an accounting system like Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks.
  
• You are organized and detail-obsessed, and you treat financial data with discretion.
  
• You can hold finance and operations at once and keep both moving.
  

Valuable but Not Required

• You have a B.Com, and a CA Inter, CMA Inter, or MBA Finance is a plus.
  
• You have handled grant accounting or research funding.
  
• You have worked with auditors, investors, or incubators.
