Job summary

Veoneer in Bengaluru seeks a Finance Manager to own plant P&L, drive FP&A for manufacturing/operations, and lead cost accounting initiatives. The role requires 9–12 years of manufacturing finance experience with strong accounting control skills and ERP exposure.

The position collaborates with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to support productivity initiatives, S&OP, and capital spending decisions, with travel to site as needed.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years of manufacturing or plant finance experience with P&L and costing ownership.
• Experience operating independently in an individual contributor role without team management.

Responsibilities

• Own plant P&L with accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for the plant.
• Drive variance analysis across COGS, overheads, productivity, scrap, and absorption.
• Link financial results to operational KPIs and shop‑floor drivers.
• Manage rolling plant cash flow forecasts (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Optimize working capital across inventory, payables, and receivables.
• Track capex spend and conduct post‑implementation ROI reviews.
• Own product costing, standard cost updates, cost roll‑ups, BOMs, and routings.
• Maintain costing models covering material, labor, overheads, yield, and scrap.
• Ensure accurate overhead absorption, margin visibility, and pricing support.
• Identify and track cost and margin improvement opportunities.

What you'll do?

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Own plant P&L with accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for the plant.

Operations Finance Partnership

• Act as finance partner to Plant Manager and teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality.
• Support productivity initiatives, capacity planning, S&OP, and continuous improvement efforts.

Controls & Governance

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
• Independently manage audits and strengthen inventory controls, cycle counts, and physical verification.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• 9–12 years of manufacturing or plant finance experience with P&L and costing ownership.
• Experience operating independently in an individual contributor role without team management.

Skills & Capabilities

• Strong understanding of manufacturing economics and cost drivers.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; Power BI exposure preferred.
• ERP experience (QAD preferred) with strong process discipline.
