Job summary

ESP Engineered in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar seeks a Finance Manager responsible for leading financial management, planning, and compliance functions. This role includes overseeing budgeting, accounting, audits, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in finance, preferably in the non-profit sector, and strong analytical skills. Salary ranges from ₹6-8 lakhs CTC annually, depending on experience and commitment time.

Job description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the financial management, planning, and compliance functions of the organization. This role involves overseeing budgeting, accounting, audits, and financial reporting, while ensuring adherence to regulatory and donor requirements. The Finance Manager will also play a strategic role in improving financial systems, supporting decision-making, and building financial capacity within the team.

This position requires a proactive professional with strong analytical skills, integrity, and experience in managing finances in a growing non‑profit organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor budget utilization and provide periodic financial analysis to leadership.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and donor‑specific reports.
  • Support strategic financial planning and forecasting to ensure long‑term sustainability.
  • Manage cash flow, fund allocations, and maintain reserves as per organizational policy.
Accounting, Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and maintenance of ledgers.
  • Oversee statutory compliances, including TDS, GST, EPF, and other regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for statutory and donor audits and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain and implement internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with FCRA and other financial regulations applicable to the organization.
  • Track grant budgets, disbursements, and expenditures as per donor requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports and documentation for donor submissions.
  • Support fundraising efforts with budget proposals and financial data for new grants.
Team Management & Capacity Building
  • Supervise and guide other staff on financial matters.
  • Build financial literacy and accountability across teams through regular training.
  • Collaborate with other verticals to ensure financial processes are integrated and efficient.
Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CA (Inter) preferred.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the non‑profit sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong understanding of financial compliance, statutory filings, and FCRA regulations.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and digital fundraising tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in education, social impact, or grassroots organizations is a plus.

Remuneration
