Job summary

SKS Enterpprises - Human Resource Planning and Management in Mumbai seeks a senior fund accounting professional to oversee the fund's accounting operations and financial reporting to investors and regulators.

The ideal candidate will hold CA (preferred) or MBA in Finance, have 5+ years' experience (Big 4 audit or tax background), expert Excel and PowerPoint skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables with accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: CA (preferred) or MBA in Finance.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• 5+ years’ experience in Fund Accounting or setting up a fund (AIF preferred), Big 4 audit, tax background.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables.
• Strong communication skills – both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounting and financial operations of the fund, including reports to investors and regulators.
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws, SEBI laws, and GAAP.
• Managing fund accounting operations: GL maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and book prep.
• Assisting in audit closures and valuations of portfolio companies.
• Providing back-office support for investment transactions (buy/sell/retain).
• Identifying and managing financial risks.
• Managing external service providers for fund accounting, custody, investor relations.
• Addressing investor queries and building relationships.
• Providing financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.

• Managing accounting and financial operations of the fund, overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to investors and regulatory bodies.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including tax laws, SEBI laws, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Managing the accounting operations of the fund, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries,and account reconciliation, preparation and review of accounting books.
• Assisting in and ensuring timely audit closures including valuations of the portfolio companies
• Providing full back office support in execution of the investment transaction regarding the purchase, sale,or retention of investments.
• Identifying and managing financial risks associated with the fund's investments, including credit, market, and liquidity risks.
• Managing external service providers for fund accounting, custody, investor relations services etc.
• Addressing queries from the investors of the fund and building a strong relationship with them
• Providing financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.

Qualification & Experience -

• Minimum Qualification required: CA (preferred) / MBA in Finance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• 5+ years’ experience in Fund Accounting or setting up a fund (AIF experience preferred), Big 4 audit firms, tax background, and related activities
• Should be able to manage multiple deliverables.
