The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s overall financial health by overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial planning, compliance, reporting, and coordination with auditors and management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support strategic financial decisions through accurate data and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day and macro-level finance operations of the organization.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, including general ledger, fixed assets, and statutory records.
- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions as per applicable accounting standards.
Costing & Profitability Analysis
- Perform segment-wise costing and financial analysis.
- Monitor cost controls and recommend improvements for profitability.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and GST (Indirect Taxation).
- Oversee GST returns, reconciliations, and statutory filings.
- Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and ensure timely implementation.
Audit & Coordination
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and consultants.
- Assist during audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Liaise with management forętr audit-related and financial matters.
- Arrange finance and evaluate lending and funding opportunities.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.
- Support management in financial planning and budgeting activities.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and present MIS dashboards for management on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Provide actionable insights through financial reports and variance analysis.
- Support strategic decision-making with accurate and timely financial data.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial discipline.
- Support junior accounting staff and contribute to team efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA – Fresher)
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, including articleship
- Hands‑on experience in finance, accounting, taxation, and compliance
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent command of Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, MIS)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
