Job summary

Tibarumals Jewellers, Hyderabad, invites an experienced Accountant to lead financial reporting, inventory valuation, GST/TDS compliance, and costing for precious metals and gemstones. You will supervise junior staff, manage payables/receivables, and ensure accurate bank reconciliations and cash flow management.

Your profile should include strong accounting skills, familiarity with jewellery industry operations, and hands-on experience with statutory audits and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience with GST and TDS compliance.
• Jewellery industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets and P&L.
• Value inventory and manage metal/stone valuation and losses.
• Ensure GST and TDS filing and liaise with auditors.
• Develop costing considering metal weight and making charges.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and vendor ledgers.
• Manage banking, cash flow, and reconciliations.
• Supervise accounts staff and ensure accuracy.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Finalisation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements.
• Inventory & Stock Valuation: Manage the valuation of precious metals and gemstones. This includes tracking melting losses, wastage, purity levels, and "Average Book Stock Rates" for raw materials.
• Taxation & Compliance: Ensure timely filing of GST and TDS returns. Manage statutory audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Costing Analysis: Develop product costing systems that account for metal weight, stone costs, and making charges (labour).
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor vendor balances and customer ledgers, ensuring timely collections and payments to suppliers/contractors.
• Banking & Cash Flow: Manage daily cash operations, bank reconciliations, and working capital to ensure operational stability.
• Team Leadership: Supervise junior accountants and accounts staff, assigning tasks and reviewing work for accuracy.
