Job summary

BLUERESERVOIR ADVISORS LLP is seeking a Finance Executive / Assistant Manager to manage fund accounting, taxation and bookkeeping for AIFs/LLPs. You will oversee end-to-end accounting, coordinate with clients and banks, and lead a small team to ensure audit-ready books with strict timelines.

Candidates should have 5+ years of fund accounting experience, CA/CA Inter or equivalent qualifications, and strong GST, TDS and income tax knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting / AIF / LLP preferred.
• Strong GST, TDS and Income Tax knowledge; end-to-end accounting & taxation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books for AIFs and related entities with audit readiness.
• Handle capital calls, investor contributions, fund expenses and related party transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations, month-end/quarter-end closures and financial statement schedules.
• Lead a small team, coordinate with clients, bankers and auditors.
• Ensure timely deliverables with high quality and control compliance calendar.

About the Role

We are a high-performance fund administration firm managing accounting, taxation, and compliance deliverables for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and their fund management entities (typically LLPs / companies). We close books quarterly and annually with strict timelines, and we expect exceptional professionalism, accuracy, and ownership.
This role is ideal for someone who understands fund books, can manage end-to-end accounting and taxation, and can lead a small team, coordinate with clients/bankers, and deliver consistently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain books of accounts for AIFs and related entities (LLP/company) with high accuracy and audit readiness.
• Handle accounting for:
• Capital calls, investor contributions, unit/commitment tracking (as applicable)
• Investments, fair valuation entries (as shared by valuation team), interest/dividend income
• Expenses, management fees, fund expenses allocations, and related party transactions
• Bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, month-end/quarter-end closures

• Prepare schedules and support financial statements preparation and audit closures.

Taxation & Regulatory Accounting Support

• Handle GST compliance: review applicability, returns, reconciliations, notices support.
• Handle Income Tax computations, TDS review, advance tax coordination, and related working papers.
• Maintain strong control on compliance calendar and ensure timely closure of filings and data readiness.

Systems & Tools

• Strong hands-on with Tally (mandatory); exposure to Computax / Winman / other tax utilities preferred.
• Maintain clean ledgers, standard narration discipline, documentation and SOP adherence.

Leadership & Client Coordination

• Manage and mentor junior staff; allocate work and ensure quality checks.
• Communicate with clients, bankers, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables are well before time, with zero compromise on quality.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong understanding of financial statements, ledgers, accounting standards basics, and closure processes.
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax (practical implementation).
• Excellent working knowledge of Tally and Excel (reconciliations, summaries, MIS).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines consistently.
• Professional communication, client handling, and ownership mindset.

Good-to-Have (Preferred)

• Experience in AIF / PMS / fund accounting / portfolio accounting.
• Knowledge of LLP accounting, partner capital/current accounts, and compliance working.
• Experience in audit support and managing multiple entities in parallel.
