Job summary

Srmap in Bengaluru, India, seeks a CA trainee to join the finance organization. You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the India business, assist in budgeting/forecasting, and support management reporting.

Your role includes ensuring internal controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving data-driven decision-making with Excel and SAP ERP. This is a fast-moving brand environment with exposure to global finance standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing CA (ICAI) with eligibility to undergo industrial training as per institute guidelines.
• Strong academic record and solid conceptual understanding of accounting and finance principles.
• Proficient in MS Excel; working knowledge of SAP ERP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the India business.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across product categories and online channels.
• Assist in preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance frameworks, and global finance standards.
• Support monthly management review presentations and business performance reporting.
• Conduct cost, revenue, and trend analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for statutory and internal audits.
• Review and analyse purchases, COGS accounting, and MIS preparation.
• Analyse overall COGS movement of the company.
• Develop automated dashboards using Excel and Power BI for leadership.
• Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all reports.
• Collaborate with teams to gather inputs, validate data, and improve reporting quality.
• Support process standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to special finance projects as assigned by leadership.
