Job summary

High Impact Talent seeks its first full-time finance leader to own statutory filings, monthly close, MIS for board approval, and the operating model. You will build scalable systems as the company grows from thirty to three hundred people, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You will manage ROC, GST, export documentation, FEMA filings, payroll obligations, and lead audits with precision. This is ownership-driven role in a rapidly scaling startup.

Qualifications

• CA with six to ten years’ experience and startup exposure.
• Experience owning finance at venture-backed startups post-Series A.
• Proven ability to manage audits and board interactions.

Responsibilities

• Monthly close and MIS, board/investor reporting, annual audit.
• Own full compliance calendar: ROC, GST (export docs), FEMA filings, payroll taxes.
• Develop operating model; ensure alignment with actuals.
• Define payout engine specs for contributors, with correct TDS.

The role:

We're institutionally funded and scaling fast, and need the financial spine to match: clean books, a monthly MIS the board trusts, and compliance handled before it's asked about. You'll be our first full time finance leader, owning everything from statutory filings to the operating model, and building the systems a company goes from thirty people to three hundred.

what you'll own:

• Monthly close and MIS, board and investor reporting, and the annual audit.
• The full compliance calendar: ROC, GST including export documentation, FEMA filings on foreign investment, and payroll statutory obligations.
• The operating financial model, kept honest against actuals.
• The spec for a contributor payout engine: paying hundreds of gig collectors monthly, reconciled against accepted hours, with TDS correct at source.

who you are:

A Chartered Accountant with six to ten years' experience, including owning finance at a venture backed startup after its Series A. Have faced an audit, a board, and a diligence process, and none of them rattles you. Precise about deadlines, because you know which filings become expensive when missed. Want ownership earlier than a large company would give it to you.
