Job summary

NR Greenwood Construction invites applications for a Hotel Accountant / Accounts Executive in Bangalore. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting, hotel revenue handling, tax compliance, and financial reporting within a hospitality environment.

We seek detail-oriented professionals with 2-5 years of experience in hotel accounting, proficiency in GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and using Tally Prime and MS Excel. Work is full-time at our Finance & Accounts department in Bangalore.

Qualifications

• Qualification in commerce or finance is required.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records, vouchers, ledgers and financial transactions.
• Handle revenue accounting for rooms, F&B, and other services.
• Verify sales reports, cash, card, UPI, OTA settlements.
• Reconcile front office revenue, restaurant billing, cash receipts and banks.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable incl. vendor invoices and guest bills.
• Prepare daily and monthly revenue/cash/expense reports.
• Monitor petty cash and cash flow.
• Assist GST returns, TDS calculations and compliance.
• Coordinate with front office, purchase, stores and management teams.
• Support audits and ensure policy compliance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Hotel Accountant to manage the hotel's day-to-day accounting operations, financial transactions, billing, taxation, and financial reporting. The candidate should have experience in hotel or hospitality accounting, with a strong understanding of hotel revenue, cash handling, vendor payments, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records, vouchers, ledgers, and financial transactions.
• Handle daily hotel revenue accounting, including room bookings, restaurant sales, food and beverage revenue, and other services.
• Verify daily sales reports, cash collections, credit card transactions, UPI payments, and online travel agency (OTA) settlements.
• Reconcile front office revenue, restaurant billing, cash receipts, and bank transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, guest bills, and outstanding payments.
• Prepare daily revenue reports, cash reports, expense statements, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor petty cash, cash flow, and operational expenses.
• Verify purchase invoices, stock records, inventory consumption, and supplier bills.
• Handle bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and month-end closing activities.
• Assist in GST returns, TDS calculations, TDS returns, and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with the front office, food and beverage, purchase, stores, and management teams.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Identify discrepancies in billing, revenue, expenses, and settlements and report them to management.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.

Required Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or an equivalent qualification.
• 25 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality business.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software.
• Familiarity with hotel management software (PMS), POS billing systems, and OTA reconciliations will be an advantage.
