Job summary

Dentsu Sports International in Bengaluru is seeking a Finance Executive to manage AR, invoicing, and revenue recognition across strategic client accounts. This role partners with the Finance Controller and Client Finance Business Partner to optimize processes and accuracy.

You will drive month-end activities, perform aging analyses, and champion cross-functional improvements to billing, payments, and reporting while maintaining high standards of integrity and collaboration.

Qualifications

• B. Com / MBA or equivalent in finance and accounting.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
• Up to 5 years of finance/accounting and project management experience in an agency or marketing setting.
• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work with international time zones.
• Proficient in Excel with Pivot tables and data manipulation skills.

Responsibilities

• AR management and revenue accounting per US GAAP for large-scale operations.
• Prepare sales invoices and follow up on payments with customers.

• Run weekly aging analysis of debtors.

Job description

We are looking for a Finance Executive who is eager to work on several strategic client accounts. This position is ideal for an individual with up to 5 years of operational finance experience within an agency environment. This person will work closely with the Finance Controller, Client Finance Business Partner and Finance analyst.This person should have an incredibly positive attitude and be able to work well with various internal agencies and client contacts. Having a solid understanding of the agency business, and a strong working knowledge of finance and accounting will be critical.As a Finance Executive, you will manage client deliverables, timelines, and invoicing. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for the AR finance team.

Job Description

• Expert in AR management and revenue accounting principles as per US GAAP for large-scale operations/customers
• Preparing Sales invoices and required to do payment follow-ups with customers
• Monitoring customer credit limits and applying for credit insurance for new customers
• Having strong skills to implement and monitor AR processes for services
• Run weekly Aging Analysis of debtors
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement and partner with other departments to streamline processes related to revenue and cost recognition
• Deep understanding of billing and commercial aspects involved in AR operations
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
• Assist with month-end processing
• Excellent in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, and Operations for guiding and implementing new processes/ policies
• Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of department priorities -- specifically, supporting better customer experience, relevant management reporting, risk reduction, and efficiency
• Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize procurement goals and objectives
• Introducing best practices and enabling the function to manage rapid scale-ups
• Ensuring no revenue leakage and required checks to avoid any exposure
• driving automation for increased efficiency/scale up
• Maintain proper SOP, accounting methods, policies, and procedures
• Maintain process documentation

Qualifications

• B. Com / MBA or an equivalent degree from a recognized university, preferably in finance and accounting.
• High degree of fluency in both written and verbal English is Must.
• Up to 5 years of finance/accounting and project management experience, ideally within a media/full-service agency or client-side marketing department setting.
• Demonstrable technical accounting ability, especially a strong conceptual understanding.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Works effectively within a team.
• Willingness to occasionally work early or late to accommodate different international time zones (UK & US).
• Strong knowledge of Excel and the ability to manipulate data via Pivot tables, lookups, etc.
