Allianz Partners India seeks a Finance Director to steer the finance function using a value-based approach, delivering the right financial metrics to the MD and Executive Committee and shaping strategy for profitable, sustainable growth.

This role entails full P&L ownership, global liquidity management, and close collaboration with core finance functions to drive planning, risk management and performance across the organization.

• Role requires an experienced executive with a business-driven mindset and strong communication, able to influence at the Executive Committee level.
• Full P&L ownership and leadership over the Head of Finance function.
• Ability to manage liquidity and capital positions across global LoBs and to integrate risk, compliance and finance.

Key Responsibilities/What You Do

The Finance Director is responsible for the value-based steering of the function under their respective scope. Not only they are responsible for delivering the right financial metrics to steer the business to the MD and the Executive Committee, but also for contributing to the design and execution of strategy for a profitable and sustainable growth of the business.

• From a financial perspective, the ultimate goal is to ensure accurate and complete execution of the Finance processes, in order to disclose reliable and solid financial statements and to provide reasonable and adequate basis to make informed decisions on the business, while respecting all internal and external requirements. They are accountable for all the Finance functions under their responsibility.
• From a strategic perspective, has a pivotal role at driving performance: they work closely with the executive committee, providing relevant business insights and contributing to the decision‑making process with the ultimate goal to enhance the value of the organization by setting strategic priorities, while respecting the company ethic and principles in environmental, social and governmental matters (e.g., M&A initiatives, divestitures, OPS offshoring, HR expense steering).

The Finance Director is an experienced executive, with a business-driven mindset, diplomatic behavior and solid cultural background, who communicates effectively in a plain and comprehensive manner. They are able to make a concrete impact in the organization, identifying with Allianz Partners’ legacy and acting as a change agent, driving the transformation step by step and showing entrepreneurship, while being flexible and innovative in finding solutions. Is also, people oriented, connects teams, practices and encourages others to practice an effective collaboration, while empowering and developing teams and individuals.

Key Requirements/What You Bring

Tis role is accountable to both the Group CFO and the IN &MEA MD`S of Allianz Partners, serving as a member of the Executive Committee and leadership team in a corporate function, undertaking special projects according to the strategy and within the risk appetite of the group. Works closely with the Group CFO of Allianz Partners to establish long‑term goals, strategies, plans, according with the policies and the strategic direction of the group.

• Assist in understanding and giving direction with regards to financials, provide reasonable and adequate recommendations to enforce finance strategy, taking a full Head of Finance role (i.e., full P&L ownership)
• Ensure disclosure of solid financial statements, both P&L and BS items, to allow full understanding of performance, profitability, while mitigating economic risks.
• Collaborate closely and effectively with core Finance functions incl. Finance Factory
• Drive the Planning & Controlling Planning Dialogue processes and contribute to its delivery together with the Executive Committee, while also providing financial insights to the Strategic Dialogue process
• Set, discuss, and track financial targets , incl. driving together with MD´s and HR Directors for targets and steering
• Actively manage liquidity and capital position globally across LoB’s entities (incl. FX exposure management and efficient payments globally) with the aim to facilitate and support the best performances of capital management and investments
• Empowered and responsible for all financial/Legal/Risk/Compliance items , supporting decisions, MD and Group CFO, leveraging the focused Core Finance departments.
• Ensures the mitigation of risks, making full and fair disclosure of all matters that could reasonably be expected to impair the value of the company
