Job summary

Premier NBFC in Mumbai HO is seeking a Finance Controller to lead the finance and accounts function, ensuring accurate accounting and strong internal controls in line with RBI norms. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; manage tax compliance, regulatory filings, and treasury activities; interact with auditors and the CFO to drive financial integrity and strategic oversight.

This role requires deep knowledge of IND AS, statutory audits, and capital adequacy

Qualifications

• Ensure revenue and provisioning accuracy and close of books.
• Ensure ECL provisioning per IND AS 109 and statutory audits.

Firm: Premier NBFC

Role: Finance Controller

Reporting: CFO

Location: Mumbai HO

You will be leading the finance & accounts for the NBFC, ensuring accurate finance accounting, robust internal controls, and regulatory compliance with RBI norms.

Financial Reporting & Audit

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements along with detailed schedules.
• Ensure revenue assurance based on system run accrual, completeness of provisioning expenses and accurate closure of books and accounts.
• ECL provisioning as per IND AS 109, validations and annual statutory audits.

Regulatory Compliance

• Compliance with RBI Master Directions, timely regulatory filings (NBS returns, DNBS return, CRiLC reporting etc).
• Liaise with RBI auditors, adherence to Capital Adequacy requirements.

Treasury & Fund Management

• Monitor borrowing cost, covenant compliance and reporting.
• Assist in fund raising activities NCD etc.
• Oversee accurate accounting of Direct Assignment transactions.

Taxation

• Ensure timely and accurate direct tax and indirect tax compliance (Income Tax, GST, TDS).
• Manage tax assessments, appeals and liaison with tax authorities.
• Oversee tax planning strategies and optimization.
