We require a Chartered Accountant with 8+ years post-qualification, including leadership experience in gold loan, bullion, NBFC, or related sectors. Proficiency in Ind AS/IGAAP, tax, RBI NBFC regulations, and ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

  • CA with 8+ years post-qualification experience in finance/accounts, with leadership role.
  • Experience in gold loan, NBFC, bullion trading, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Ind AS/IGAAP, taxes, RBI/NBFC regulatory framework.
  • Hands-on with ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements per Ind AS/IGAAP.
  • Ensure robust internal financial controls (IFC) across the organisation.
  • Manage monthly close, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Present MIS and dashboards to senior management and board.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and regulatory submissions.
  • Lead and mentor finance and accounts team; cross-functional collaboration.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to lead the finance and accounts function of the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in financial control, compliance, and reporting, preferably with exposure to the gold loan, bullion, NBFC, or financial services industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and support business growth through sound financial governance.



Key Responsibilities:


Financial Control & Reporting:


  • – Oversee preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IGAAP).

  • – Ensure robust internal financial controls (IFC) are designed, implemented, and monitored across the organisation.

  • – Manage the monthly closing process, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.

  • – Present financial performance reports, MIS, and dashboards to senior management and the board.



Compliance & Regulatory:


  • – Ensure compliance with statutory requirements – Income Tax, GST, TDS, RBI/NBFC regulations (if applicable), Companies Act, and other applicable laws.

  • – Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

  • – Ensure timely filing of returns, audits, and regulatory submissions.

  • – Stay updated on changes in gold loan/bullion trade regulations, RBI guidelines, and financial compliance norms.



Treasury & Cash Flow Management:


  • – Monitor daily cash flow, fund positions, and working capital requirements.

  • – Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and gold-backed lending/borrowing arrangements.

  • – Oversee gold inventory valuation, hedging strategies, and price risk management (if applicable to bullion operations).



Budgeting & Financial Planning:


  • – Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting/re-forecasting.

  • – Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost optimization and margin improvement.

  • – Support business heads with financial insights for strategic decision-making.



Audit & Risk Management:


  • – Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits; ensure timely closure of audit observations.

  • – Identify financial risks and implement mitigation controls.

  • – Ensure adequate documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.



Team Leadership:


  • – Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team.

  • – Set performance goals, review team output, and build finance function capability.

  • – Coordinate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, HR, and business teams.



Required Qualifications & Experience:


  • – Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.

  • – Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience in finance/accounts, with at least 3 years in a leadership/controllership role.

  • – Prior experience in gold loan companies, NBFCs, bullion trading, jewellery, or the financial services industry is strongly preferred.

  • – Strong knowledge of Ind AS/IGAAP, Income Tax, GST, and RBI/NBFC regulatory framework.

  • – Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.

  • – Proven experience managing statutory and internal audits.
