As an experienced Finance Controller at DMI Finance, you will play a crucial role in leading the financial operations and driving technological innovation in accounting and financial processes within the NBFC sector. Your 15-18 years of progressive experience will be instrumental in combining deep financial expertise with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with RBI guidelines and accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
- Lead the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Manage statutory and regulatory reporting requirements including RBI returns, GST filings, and other compliance obligations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial analysis and management reporting frameworks.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure smooth audit processes.
Strategic Financial Planning
- Collaborate with the Business team on annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management and board of directors.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations for business improvement.
- Support business development initiatives with financial modeling and feasibility analysis.
- Oversee capital adequacy planning and regulatory capital management.
Taxation & Compliance
- Lead comprehensive tax planning and strategy for direct and indirect taxes.
- Oversee GST compliance, return filings, and input tax credit optimisation.
- Manage income tax computations, advance tax payments, and TDS/TCS compliance.
- Handle tax assessments, appeals, and liaison with tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with withholding tax requirements on various financial products.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including RBI norms, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Monitor and manage credit risk, operational risk, and market risk exposures.
- Implement and oversee fraud prevention and detection mechanisms.
Technology Integration & Process Innovation
- Spearhead digital transformation initiatives in finance and accounting functions.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimise financial systems, ERP solutions, and automation tools.
- Drive process reengineering to eliminate manual interventions and enhance accuracy.
- Develop and implement automated reconciliation processes and controls.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Drive performance management and succession planning within the finance function.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Technology, Risk, and Audit.
- Champion change management initiatives and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
Education / Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- MBA in Finance/related field is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 15‑18 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Minimum 8 years of recent experience in the NBFC and Banking ecosystem.
- Hands‑on experience with financial systems implementation and process automation.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance and RBI guidelines.
