Job summary

People Konnect is seeking a newly qualified Chartered Accountant with 1–1.5 years of experience to join the Finance team in Mumbai. You will support day-to-day accounting, reporting, compliance and audit activities and grow into a broader finance role.

You will handle month-end close, reconciliations, MIS reporting, budgeting, tax compliance efforts, and cross-functional finance support to improve processes and automation.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified CA with 1–1.5 years of experience.
• Support day-to-day accounting, reporting, compliance and audit activities.
• Grow into a broader finance role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate, timely posting of entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including provisions, accruals and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, vendor and inter-company reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow tracking.
• Assist in preparing financial statements as per Ind AS / IGAAP.
• Support GST, TDS and income tax compliance, including working, filing and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with consultants and ensure statutory due dates are met.
• Assist in statutory, internal and tax audits by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
• Follow internal controls and flag process gaps or exceptions.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, HR and Operations on finance-related queries.
• Support process improvements and automation in finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Close
