Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation invites an experienced accounting professional to join its IBU, Gift City, Gujarat team. The role covers accounting, reconciliations, control activities, and regulatory reporting, liaising with HO and regulators.

You will maintain books, prepare financial statements, support audits, and contribute to process improvements while coordinating with regional offices and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting.
• Experience with regulatory reporting in banking or financial services.
• Ability to coordinate with HO Finance and regulators.

Responsabilités

SScope and Dimension

• Candidate will be responsible for Accounting and finance profileat IBU, GIFT City, Gujarat.
• Geographical coverage: IBU, Gift City, Gujarat. Role would require frequent co-ordination with other SMBC offices / Regional Head office.
• Functional coverage:
• Accounting - Maintenance of books of accounts, reconciliations, daily control activities, Head office / regulatory reporting, periodic Financial statement preparation and audit handling.
• Liaising with external consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Regulatory reporting – Preparation/ submission of required reports to regulator
• Contribute to process building
• Build strong networking within banking fraternity and regulators
• Build relationship and coordination with HO Finance department and IFSCA.

Main interfaces / relationships: Effective and efficient liaison with other teams, regional and Matrix stakeholders including senior management members, department heads, regulators etc.

• Manage the data quality, with strict adherence to deadlines
• Keep oneself constantly updated with changes in Accounting, taxation and regulations, understanding its impact on the organisation and taking proactive actions.
