Job summary

Haleon invites a Finance Reporting professional to join our global team to ensure accurate monthly and year-end close, prepare journal entries, and support statutory reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP. You will partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and drive process improvements.

In this role, you will interact with Audit, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A teams, contributing to SOX compliance and timely delivery of financial statements in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and financial analyses.
  • Contribute to statutory and group financial statements under IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Drive SOX controls, internal controls, and compliance with policies.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Reporting professional to join our Finance Reporting team. Reporting to the Finance Reporting Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely group and statutory financial reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a global finance environment, partnering with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to support financial reporting, audit activities, process improvements, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close Activities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Perform variance analysis and investigate reporting anomalies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory and group financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
Controls & Compliance
  • Execute and document SOX controls and internal control activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and financial control frameworks.
  • Maintain robust documentation for accounting processes and controls.
  • Identify risks and proactively resolve reporting and compliance issues.
Audit & Stakeholder Management
  • Support statutory audits and serve as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Risk, and Audit teams.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests, projects, and business initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Process Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and control activities.
  • Support automation and standardization of financial reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
Experience Required
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance Reporting, Financial Control, Statutory Accounting, Audit, or Risk Management.
  • Experience within a large multinational or global organization.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting processes and controls.
  • Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment.
  • Exposure to external or internal audit activities.
  • Experience supporting group and statutory reporting requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain industry experience.
  • Statutory accounting and close & control accounting experience.
  • Experience working with shared services or outsourced BPO providers.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Advanced SAP experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Account reconciliation and journal processing.
  • Internal controls and SOX compliance expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
