Post: Finance & Accounts Manager for a FMCG co at Coimbatore

Location: Coimbatore

Qualification: M.COM/M.BA/CA Inter

CTC: Maximum gross up to 15 LPA

Age: Minimum 40 to Maximum 50 years

Experience: 1520 years preferred;

• Education: MBA Finance, M.Com, CA/ICWA/CMA or equivalent.
• Industry: Manufacturing experience is mandatory, with FMCG preferred.
• Location: Coimbatore.
• Compensation: 12-15 LPA, with flexibility for candidates exceeding the budget based on experience and suitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Control & Business Partnering

• Establish and strengthen management reporting and financial controls.
• Provide commercially focused financial analysis aimed at value creation.
• Partner with business/operations teams on profitability, productivity and efficiency.
• Develop and strengthen internal control policies and procedures.
• Review major supplier and contractor commercial terms.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting.
• Analyse budget vs. actuals and identify corrective actions.
• Monitor costs, margins, profitability and key operating metrics.
• Ensure appropriate cost allocations and reporting.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process.
• Coordinate preparation of financial forecasts.
• Consolidate business-unit budgets and present management-level reporting.
• Continuously evaluate financial and operating KPIs.

4. Accounting Operations

• Oversee Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
• Manage cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of financial transactions.
• Handle technical accounting matters and compliance requirements.

5. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure statutory and regulatory reporting is completed accurately and on time.
• Manage tax filings and government reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

6. Systems, Processes & Controls

• Review and improve accounting and management-reporting systems.
• Standardize processes and reporting formats.
• Identify control deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
• Develop and document accounting policies, SOPs and business processes.
• Leverage technology/IT to improve financial reporting and controls.

Candidate Summary
