Position: Financial Controller / Business Controller

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: Coimbatore

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Business Control Function

• Establish and drive a proactive management reporting and controls function.
• Integrate a commercial approach to the control and reporting function with value creation as the underlying objective.
• Implement effective, flexible and dynamic systems and processes.
• Coordinate with the Downstream Business Control team to ensure standardization of processes within similar businesses.
• Review terms and conditions for major suppliers and contractors.
• Develop internal control policies and procedures.
• Identify and address business productivity and efficiency opportunities.
• Act as a business partner to various business units.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
• Analyse financial variances and develop improvement measures.
• Ensure appropriate allocation and reporting of costs and margins.
• Review management reporting systems and processes.
• Coordinate guidelines and standard templates for the budgeting process and present the consolidated budget.
• Work with business units to calibrate reporting metrics and continuously evaluate financial and operating metrics.
• Review control and reporting procedures and document deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.
• Handle technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Perform additional Controller duties as required.
