Job summary

Amor Management Consultants is seeking a Costing Specialist with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing finance to lead product costing efforts. You will analyse BOMs, material costs, overheads and variances to drive profitability and cost improvement across operations.

Key responsibilities include maintaining standard costs, preparing costing MIS and partnering with Production, SCM and Engineering to identify savings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-qualification experience in Costing / Product Costing / Manufacturing Finance / Management Accounting.
• Preferably from Automotive / Auto Components / Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end product costing covering material, conversion, overheads and other cost elements.
• Analyse BOM, material cost, purchase prices, consumption and rate/quantity variances; identify cost drivers and reduction opportunities.
• Review BOM, engineering, material and process changes and assess cost, margin and profitability impact.
• Analyse COGS, material contribution, conversion costs, labour, machine/process costs and manufacturing expenses for cost efficiency.
• Analyse scrap generation/trends and abnormal scrap and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Prepare new product costing covering material, conversion and overheads for profitability/commercial evaluation.
• Analyse domestic/import purchase costs and price movements and their impact on product costing.
• Maintain standard costs and product cost sheets with updated prices, BOMs, processes and overheads.
• Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving and obsolete inventory and support obsolescence reduction.
• Prepare costing MIS, variance reports and management dashboards covering product cost, material, conversion, inventory and profitability.
• Support monthly closing for material costs, manufacturing expenses, provisions, abnormal and exceptional costs.
• Partner with Operations, Production, SCM, Purchase and Engineering for cost reduction and financial-benefit tracking.
• Drive costing digitalisation and automation to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Review costing SOPs, policies, processes and controls for accuracy and consistency.

Experience

• 3+ years post-qualification experience in Costing / Product Costing / Manufacturing Finance / Management Accounting.

• Proficiency in MS Excel / Power BI for costing and MIS.
