Job summary

Michelin is seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting Manager in carrying out group and local accounting activities. The role focuses on accurate records, compliance with standards, and timely financial reporting.

You will handle GL transactions, reconciliations, and closing activities to ensure high-quality statements. With 1–3 years of accounting experience and ERP exposure, you will help maintain reliable financial information and support audits and controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Com, M.Com, or MBA with a sound foundation in accounting principles.
• Experience: 1–3 years in Accounting, General Ledger (GL), or Record-to-Report (R2R).
• Technical Skills: Experience working with any ERP systems.

• Record, verify, and control accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
• Explain account reconciliations and provide supporting documents to reviewers, internal and external auditors, and internal controllers.
• Complete closing activities and reporting within prescribed deadlines and quality standards.

1. Mission The Accountant supports the Accounting Manager or Accounting Cycle Analyst in carrying out Group and local accounting activities. The role ensures accurate accounting records, compliance with Group standards and local legislation, and timely availability of financial information for preparing financial statements.

2. Key Responsibilities

Ensure General Ledger (GL) entries and transactions comply with Group standards, local regulations, and accounting procedures.

Record, verify, and control accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.

Explain account reconciliations and provide supporting documents to reviewers, internal and external auditors, and internal controllers.

Complete closing activities and reporting within prescribed deadlines and quality standards.

Maintain accurate accounting records to support the timely preparation of financial statements.

Support the Accounting Manager or Accounting Cycle Analyst in meeting Group and local accounting requirements.

3. Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education: B.Com, M.Com, or MBA with a sound foundation in accounting principles.

Experience: 1–3 years in Accounting, General Ledger (GL), or Record-to-Report (R2R).
