Otis Elevator Co. is seeking an Installation Mechanic to join our global team on site in Ludhiana, Punjab.

You will install elevators with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, coordinating with onsite teams and customers throughout the installation process. The role requires practical experience in elevator installation, electrical and mechanical skills, and comfort with plan reading and calculations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of elevator equipment and ability to apply elevator engineering principles to installation.
• Ability to install elevators to standards set in your country.
• Possess a driver's license if required for the role.
• At least 6 months of experience in elevators, ideally on installation or on-site work.
• Strong electrical and mechanical capabilities.
• Competence in reading plans and performing calculations.
• Interest in technical products and new technologies.
• Appreciates manual trades and the satisfaction of completing work.

Responsibilities

• Stay overnight away from home when required.

Role Overview

• Install new elevators with quality and efficiency
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with all Environmental Health & Safety guidelines
• Stay away overnight as and when required
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship
• Conduct inspection before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety standards

Qualifications / Requirements

• As a qualified mechanic, it is essential that you have knowledge of elevator equipment and that you can apply elevator engineering principles to Installation
• You are qualified to install elevators to the standards set in your country
• You hold a driver's license (as necessary)
• You have at least 6 months of experience in the field of elevators, ideally acquired in the assembly activity or at least experience on site and / or installation
• You have good electrical and mechanical skills
• You are comfortable with plan reading and calculations
• You have an appetite for technical products and new technologies
• You appreciate manual trades as well as the satisfaction of seeing the finished work
