Job summary

Flowserve India Controls Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Representative to coordinate with customers on field issues, warranty requests and resolutions.

The role includes site commissioning, service and repair work at customer sites in Vadodara. You will perform repairs, read blueprints, train customers, and collaborate with service, sales engineering. The position requires 0-2 years of related experience and the ability to travel across India; physical duties include lifting up to 25 kg

Qualifications

• Electrical-Instrumentation or Mechanical degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience installing, maintaining mechatronic equipment and repairing pump equipment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics.

Job description

As a Field Service Rep, you are responsible for coordinating with customers in field issues, warranty complaints and resolutions. You will carry out and support site commissioning, service and repair jobs at customer sites. This position will be based at Vadodara QRC.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house and on-site repairs and service activities
• Assess problems and take actions to resolve promptly.
• Work side-by-side with our customer’s personnel as required.
• Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
• Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule.
• Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance.
• Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
• Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining Flowserve products.
• Collaborate effectively with the supporting organizations of Flowserve, including the customer service, and sales engineering.
• Maintain and submit organized, accurate records, including daily reports, jobs quoted, jobs performed, and time and materials charged.
• Knowledgeable about the industrial applications and operations of pumps, turbines, compressors, seals, actuators, or any rotary equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Electrical-Instrumentation / Mechanical degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with installing, maintaining mechatronic equipment
• Experience with repairing pump equipment, installing cables/instruments
• Proven ability to correctly read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics
• Must be a self-starter with good follow-through, capable of working independently with little supervision
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Able to travel throughout India
• Able to work overtime as required to minimize impact on customers
• Physical activity is required, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds / 25kg, ascending/descending ladders and staircases, and climbing and reaching in, under, and around large equipment, often outside year-round.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Instrumentation & Electrical failure analysis background is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word
• Able to work well with a team
• Experience serving customers in FMCG/Pharma and other general industries
• Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites.
