Job summary

Worley is seeking a Field Engineer II to join our project teams on construction sites in the oil & gas sector. You will review IFC drawings, coordinate with planning and contractors, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and contract requirements.

You will develop schedules with the Planning Engineer, review quality plans, and supervise construction activities while maintaining essential documentation. Strong MS Office skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality control and safe construction methods per Indian Standards/ASME.
  • Experience of 7 years for Graduate Engineers or 10 years for Diploma Engineers in Oil & Gas or Chemicals.
  • Graduate in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering in the respective discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Office and reporting.
  • Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review issued for construction drawings and request clarifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with Planning Engineer to develop construction schedules.
  • Understand contract requirements for the respective discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of Quality Plan and ITP of contractors.
  • Coordinate with contractors on detailed schedules and resource status.
  • Review JHAs, method statements, and lifting plans.
  • Carry out site safety inspections and ensure compliance with Field HSE specifications.
  • Maintain inspection documentation and conduct quality audits.
  • Participate in site walks and reviews with contractors.
  • Monitor progress versus schedule and escalate deficiencies.
  • Review and certify interim and final contractor measurements.
  • Coordinate submission of As-Built marks and review.

The Role

As a Field Engineer II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as per established procedure of the project site.
  • Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
  • Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
  • Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable).
  • Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification.
  • Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
  • Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
  • Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required.
  • Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
  • Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same.
About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals.
  • Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline.
  • Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Team Player, interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity.
