Field Applications Engineer – Bangalore/Chennai

This role is a strategic, customer‑facing position that leverages technical and communication skills to drive innovation and business growth for Tektronix.

Responsibilities

• Technical expert for Tektronix instruments including oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, source measure units, bidirectional power supplies, battery testers, cell impedance analyzers and their applications.
• Technical expert on power measurements, covering power converter testing, motor drive analysis, power quality analysis, EMI/EMC, spectrum analysis, EV battery testing, fuel cell testing, energy storage applications, and regenerative load applications.
• Provide technical consultancy for the assigned product portfolio and market segments.
• Deliver training and provide application support to solve challenging customer problems.
• Deliver presentations and participate in industry seminars and forums.
• Establish strategic technical partnerships and build close relationships with key customers.
• Capture voice of customer and share feedback on product enhancements with internal teams.
• Position will be based in Bangalore or Chennai, as per business requirements.

Qualifications and Competencies

• PhD/Master's degree in Electronics Engineering with a specialization in power electronics and signal processing.
• Industry or research experience of 2–8 years.
• Strong knowledge of power fundamentals, circuits, and SiC/GaN devices.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C and Python is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation and time‑management skills.
• Capability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Self‑motivation and a self‑learning approach with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel for key customer meetings.
