Job summary

Virya Autonomous Technologies Pvt. Ltd. seeks an Engineer – Field Applications to join the Field Engineering team for on-site deployment, commissioning, and support of AMR systems at customer locations in Pune, with extensive travel.

You will install, test, and validate operations, train operators, and monitor performance to maximize uptime while ensuring safety and SOP adherence in demanding industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Robotics/Mechatronics or related discipline; up to 3 years of experience; immediate joiners only.
• Basic understanding of mechatronics, electrical, mechanical and control fundamentals.
• Familiarity with sensors, motors and automation concepts used in AMR platforms.
• Basic exposure to Python, C++, and Ubuntu OS terminal commands.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and operational issues under guidance.
• Willingness to travel extensively for site deployment and service support.
• Good communication skills for operator interaction and training; strong learning attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission AMR systems at customer sites, supporting initial setup, testing and validation of operations.
• Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot hardware, software and operational issues on deployed systems.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams to diagnose and resolve field issues.
• Monitor AMR performance to ensure maximum utilization and uptime across sites.
• Train operators and supervisors on safe and effective AMR usage.
• Support adherence to SOPs and operational best practices at customer locations.
• Maintain field visit records, issue logs and service documentation for each site.
• Travel to customer sites as required to support deployment and service needs.

We are looking for a Engineer – Field Applications to join our Field Engineering team supporting the on-site deployment, commissioning, and support of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) systems at customer locations across Pune. In this role, you will handle installation, breakdown troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of deployed AMR platforms, working closely with internal technical teams and on-site operators.

This is a hands-on, travel-intensive role for someone who enjoys solving practical field problems, training operators on the ground, and keeping AMR systems running reliably in real industrial environments.
