Job summary

Raipur Power And Steel Limited is seeking a Ferro Lab Incharge to oversee the Ferro Alloys laboratory at our plant in Rasmada, Durg. You will manage testing, calibration, reporting, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of metallurgical lab experience in ferro alloys or steel manufacturing, with strong knowledge of XRF and analytical methods. A B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry or Metallurgy is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Chemistry or Metallurgy or equivalent.
• Experience in Ferro Alloys/steel plant lab operations required.
• Knowledge of XRF and instrumental analysis is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Ferro Alloys Laboratory.
• Conduct chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.
• Ensure accurate sampling, testing and reporting as per plant quality requirements.
• Handle laboratory instruments and testing equipment, including XRF and other relevant instruments.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory records, test reports and documentation.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to maintain product quality.
• Analyze test results and communicate deviations to the concerned departments.
• Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping and standard operating procedures.
• Lead and supervise laboratory staff/team.
• Ensure timely reporting of test results to management.
