Job summary

Segula Technologies India seeks a Senior Design Engineer for Feature System Engineering - Connected Vehicles in Chennai. You will design, develop, validate, and sign off features across automotive architectures, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and program timelines.

The role requires at least five years of experience and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. You will work independently, manage DVP testing, perform FMEA and cybersecurity checks, and coordinate with feature

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and sign off features for automotive systems.
• Define vehicle-level requirements and assess impacts on attributes and systems.
• Identify components and verify at various levels during development.
• Conduct FMEA, cybersecurity assessments, and regulatory checks.
• Manage feature development, testing, and sign-off, including DVP testing.
• Collaborate with feature owners, test teams, and supervisors for sign-offs.
• Weekly JIRA reviews and feature test progress discussions.

Mission

• Design, develop, validate, & signoff features on multiple architectures for automotive systems
• Ensure alignment of features with customer expectations & vehicle program timelines
• Define vehicle-level requirements & assess impacts on vehicle attributes & systems
• Identify components needed for feature implementation & ensure verification at various levels
• Conduct failure mode and effects analysis, cybersecurity assessments, & regulatory compliance checks
• Manage feature development, testing, & signoff processes, including DVP testing & user exp alignment
• Collaborate with core feature owners, test teams, & supervisors for feature changes & sign-offs
• Automotive exp with a technical qualification in electrical Engg
• Connected system & infotainment experience preferred
• Strong communication skills & ability to work independently
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, testing, & mfg. quality verification
• Weekly activities include JIRA reviews, AIMS issue resolution, & feature test progress discussions
