Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior System Architect specialized in Mainframe technologies to join our dynamic team. You will design and optimize mainframe architectures to meet complex business requirements, leveraging COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 to deliver scalable solutions.

You will lead technical discussions, mentor junior staff, and drive POCs to demonstrate viability of proposed designs, while staying ahead of trends in mainframe architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in system architecture with a focus on mainframe technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe architecture solutions that align with organizational strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into efficient technical architectures.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Lead technical discussions, and provide mentorship to junior architects and developers.
• Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) to demonstrate the viability of proposed designs and solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in mainframe systems architecture.

As a Senior System Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing mainframe systems architectures that meet complex business requirements. You will leverage your extensive experience to create innovative solutions that enhance system performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
