Job summary

PennAero Group in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Fasteners Manager to lead the aerospace fastener manufacturing operations. You will own the full value stream from raw-material release through finishing, ensuring quality, traceability and on-time delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in fastener manufacturing, hands-on process mastery, and strong leadership across a 45-person team while ensuring AS9100 and Nadcap compliance within ERP/MES systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in fastener or precision-hardware manufacturing.
• Experience with aerospace-grade fasteners such as bolts, rivets, lockbolts and blind fasteners.
• Directly handled fastener manufacturing processes: cold heading / forming, thread rolling, heat treatment, plating / coating, finishing, inspection.
• Knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, aerospace fastener specifications, GD&T, SPC, 8D, Fishbone and 5-Why.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of fastener process engineers, quality engineers and/or shift supervisors.
• Own production planning and throughput for fastener manufacturing cells.
• Manage processes including cold heading/forming, thread rolling, heat treatment, plating/coating and finishing.
• Ensure conformance to NAS, MS, AN, BAC and customer-specific standards.
• Ensure AS9100 and Nadcap special-process compliance.
• Maintain complete lot traceability from raw material through finished product.
• Drive root-cause analysis and CAPA for non-conformances, scrap and customer returns.
• Coordinate FAI, PPAP, SPC and Nadcap audit readiness.
• Manage outsourced special-process suppliers for plating, heat treatment and NDT.
• Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, yield, tool/die life, scrap and rework.
• Support new part introduction and program ramp-up.
• Monitor production KPIs including OTD, first-pass yield, scrap and audit findings.

The incumbent will be accountable for production performance, product quality, AS9100/Nadcap compliance, traceability, and on-time delivery, while leading a team of approximately 45 process/quality engineers or shift supervisors.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of progressive experience in fastener or precision-hardware manufacturing, with meaningful exposure to aerospace-grade fasteners such as bolts, rivets, lockbolts and blind fasteners.

The candidate should have directly handled fastener manufacturing processes including:

Cold heading / forming Thread rolling Heat treatment Plating / coating Finishing Inspection

Should also possess working knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, aerospace fastener specifications, GD&T, SPC, 8D, Fishbone and 5-Why, along with exposure to production scheduling and traceability through ERP/MES systems.
