Job summary

Mangalam Cement invites applications for an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to manage the OHC at the Kota factory. The incumbent will provide primary medical care, conduct mandatory medical examinations, and ensure adherence to Factories Act provisions related to occupational health.

Strong background in handling OHC operations within manufacturing settings and liaison with regulatory authorities is required.

Qualifications

• MBBS from a recognized institution with valid registration (State Medical Council/NMC).
• AFIH certification mandatory; Diploma/MD in Occupational Health adds advantage.
• Experience in handling Occupational Health Centres (OHC) and statutory health compliance in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care and emergency treatment to stakeholders.
• Manage Occupational Health Centre (OHC) operations within the factory premises.
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and statutory medical examinations.
• Monitor occupational diseases and workplace health risks.
• Maintain employee medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with provisions of the Factories Act and Rules concerning occupational health.
• Coordinate statutory medical examinations for employees exposed to occupational hazards.
• Liaise with Factory Inspectorate, ESI authorities, hospitals, and government agencies as required.
• Support audits, inspections, and statutory documentation related to health and welfare.
• Lead emergency preparedness and medical response systems.
• Conduct health awareness, wellness, vaccination, and preventive healthcare programs.

Preferred candidate profile

• AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) Certification.
• MBBS from a recognized institution.
• Diploma/MD in Occupational Health, Community Medicine, or Industrial Medicine will be an added advantage.
• Valid registration with State Medical Council / NMC.
• Experience in manufacturing industries such as Cement, Steel, Mining, Power, Chemicals, or Heavy Engineering.
• Experience in handling Occupational Health Centres and statutory health compliance.
