Job summary

Sola Wood Flowers is hiring a Factory Manager to run and scale our Kolkata production floor. You will own day-to-day operations, drive output, quality, and labor management on the line alongside supervisors.

We expect hands-on leaders who thrive in handcrafted, labor-intensive settings, manage large teams, and use data to improve throughput and unit economics. On-site work in Kolkata is required, with a clear compensation philosophy aligned to performance.

Qualifications

• Real experience running manufacturing or production operations, ideally in handcrafted, labor-intensive settings.
• Comfort managing large teams.
• A data-driven habit with KPIs. Excel/Sheets fluency will come up in the interview.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• On-site daily in Kolkata.
• Able to provide references.

• Hit volume and lead-time targets. Protect on-time delivery on every wedding order. Fixed date. No do-over.

Sola Wood Flowers is hiring a Factory Manager to run and scale our production floor in Kolkata.

This Saturday, a bride you will never meet walks down an aisle holding a bouquet your floor built by hand. It cannot be late. It cannot be wrong. Monday is her honeymoon, not your reship window. That is the job.

We make better flowers for less: affordable, eco-friendly wooden flowers that now show up in more than 6% of American weddings every year. Everything is handcrafted, and India is a growing part of how we make it. We are building a modernized, vertically integrated platform north of $100M across DTC, owned retail, and wholesale.

Who this is not for

If you want to run a factory from a cabin with reports, this is not it. This is a floor job. You will spend your day on the line, next to your supervisors, while the problem is still happening. If you are looking for a stress-free 9-to-5, we are upfront: this isn't one.
