Job summary

Nutreco in India seeks a Production Planning and Execution leader to manage plant operations, maintenance planning, and team leadership. You will coordinate across shifts, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvements within established budgets and standards.

The role emphasizes ensuring efficient production delivery, adherence to HSE/Quality guidelines, and development of staff performance through coaching and KPI monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational plant activities to ensure efficient execution and delivery of results.
  • Coordinate production operations across shifts using common equipment, methods, and standards.
  • Direct unit supervisors to establish and maintain production schedules within procedures and budgets.
  • Oversee long-term maintenance planning and budgets for the assigned area.
  • Prioritize planned maintenance to prevent breakdowns and minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure maintenance work is performed safely and efficiently with minimal production stoppages.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to production and maintenance teams.
  • Set objectives and monitor performance, providing feedback to staff.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track OpCo performance against targets.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE/Quality rules and safety regulations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to processes.

Job Description
Production Planning and Execution:
  • Manages the (operational) activities in the plant, within the applicable Nutreco standards and procedures, in order to achieve an efficient and effective execution and delivery of results
  • Coordinates production operations within a single plant that uses common production equipment, methods, and standards over multiple shifts.
  • Directs unit supervisors in establishing and maintaining production schedules within established procedures and budgets.
Maintenance and repair (M&R):
  • Oversees the mid and long term maintenance planning for the assigned area, including budgets
  • Ensures that all maintenance activities (planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) are planned and prioritized in order to prevent / rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimise business disruptions
  • Ensures that all maintenance activities with regard to malfunctions, maintenance, repairs and modifications, are performed in such a way that the work can be performed in an efficient and safe manner and the production department(s) encounter minimal nuisance and / or stagnation, balancing the need for continuous production and stops / shutdowns due to (planned and unplanned) maintenance
Leadership and people management:
  • Provides leadership to his / her area in production and M&R (i.e. setting individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback on a(n) (in)formal basis) so that all reports are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives
  • Manages and coaches a team of professionals, motivates employees through sincere and concrete feedback and take appropriate action when needed, stimulate team cooperation and mobility and ensure that managers and staff are deployable (quantitatively and qualitatively) and willing to and capable of realizing the set objectives.
Reporting:
  • Develops and/or monitors the relevant KPI’s to maintain an insight in the performance of the OpCo in the assigned area against the set targets, and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitors established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports, and injury reports.
Quality / HSE Compliance:
  • Assures that all activities and operations are executed in line with HSE / Quality rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promotes awareness thereof, including addressing anomalies to others.
  • Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations to minimize industrial injuries and meet regulatory requirements.
Continuous improvement:
  • Identifies and implements improvements to the OpCo's systems, processes and practices in order to improve / optimize effectiveness and efficiency of theprocesses.
