Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Mumbai is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, utilities, and vendor management within our on-site campus. You will lead technicians, coordinate with building management, and ensure compliance with safety and efficiency standards.

With at least three years in facilities, carpentry, electrical or plumbing knowledge, you will drive preventive maintenance and deliver accurate reports; this role operates in a dynamic, inclusive environment at JLL.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least three years of experience in the field.
• Strong working knowledge of policies, building maintenance and people management.
• Proven expertise in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and general property management.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical activities with precision.
• Review operating and utilities costs for the company.
• Inspect and monitor invoices for technical services with the building manager.
• Oversee maintenance by contractors to align with manufacturer recommendations and preventive standards.
• Oversee repair and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and other equipment.
• Perform routine inspection, inventory and documentation of these systems.
• Provide leadership to oversee electricians and their scope of work.
• Collaborate with all levels of staff and management.
• Act as main contact for vendors for maintenance services.
• Produce daily and weekly reports on maintenance activities.

What this job involves

• Executing flawless technical activities.
• Keep the company up to speed on operating and utilities costs.
• Monitor invoices for technical services rendered together with the building manager.
• Monitor maintenance practices of contractors to ensure scope of work aligned with manufacturer recommendations and our preventive maintenance standards.
• Oversee repair and maintenance of cooling and heating systems, plumbing and water supply, electricity and lighting fixtures, and other equipment and supplies.
• Perform routine inspection, inventory, and documentation of these systems.
• Provide sound leadership to boost results; oversee electricians and their scope of work.
• Work closely with everyone across the board—from superiors to peers and subordinates.
• Serve as main point of contact for vendors for all maintenance services.
• Produce daily and weekly summary reports on maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technical competence like no other.
• Degree holder with at least three years’ experience in the field.
• Strong working knowledge of policies, building maintenance and people management.
• Proven expertise in the principles and techniques of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general property management (may give an edge).
