Job summary

Role Definition

Performs maintenance of equipment while ensuring safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Communicating major issues in equipment performance and maintenance to the managers;
  • Supporting the team in implementing robust solutions to improve overall efficiency, yield, and uptime of the equipment.

5S Housekeeping

Knowledge of 5S Housekeeping concepts; ability to design, implement and sustain 5S housekeeping strategies to ensure standardization of workplace operations.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Explains the rationale for using the 5S methodology to organize a manufacturing workspace.
  • Describes the five foundational concepts of the methodology: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke.
  • Gives examples of how 5S workspace usage decisions are made.

  • Explains the history, concept, and objectives of TPM.
  • Identifies the pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Outlines the similarities and differences between Total Quality Management (TQM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Effective Communications

Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Describes non-verbal behaviors that influence the interpretation of the message.
  • Cites examples of effective and ineffective communications.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
