Experience : 5 - 10 Years Salary : 8 - 15 LPA
The Senior BIM Engineer (Faade) leads the development, coordination, and management of façade-specific Building Information Models across all stages of design, fabrication, and construction. This role ensures accurate and efficient BIM workflows, high‑quality 3D models, and precise documentation that support façade engineering, detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination. The position plays a key role in resolving interface challenges, improving constructability, and enabling seamless integration of façade systems with architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
The Senior BIM Engineer oversees clash detection, design coordination, and data integrity, while also mentoring junior BIM staff and collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and contractors / client to achieve seamless project delivery.
Key Individual Accountabilities
Strategic:
- Drive the adoption and integration of advanced BIM workflows, façade‑specific modelling standards, and digital engineering tools to elevate design accuracy and project efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and maintain façade‑specific BIM protocols, families, templates, and LOD definitions to ensure consistency across projects.
- Ensure all façade BIM outputs comply with industry standards, project BEPs, and fabrication requirements.
- Represent façade BIM expertise in high‑level interactions with clients, architects, façade consultants, and main contractors.
- Communicate BIM capabilities, digital deliverables, and façade coordination strategies to align all stakeholders toward project objectives.
- Mentor BIM modelers and junior façade engineers in advanced façade modelling, detailing, and coordination workflows.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and international standards.
BIM Production & Modelling:
- Develop and manage LOD 300–500 BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.
- Produce coordinated 2D drawings extracted from BIM models (plans, sections, elevations, details). Generate shop drawings, as‑built models, fabrication drawings, and quantities from BIM models.
- Create families, parametric components, and templates as required.
- Support creation of 4D models (construction sequencing) and 5D quantities/costing if required.
- Deliver coordinated BIM outputs aligned with project schedules and milestones.
Leadership & Support:
- Mentor and guide junior BIM Modelers/Engineers.
- Support BIM Manager in implementing new processes, workflows, and technologies.
- Provide technical support to project teams on BIM tools and best practices.
